Displaying the Price per Unit of Measurement
In addition to the sales price of a product, the seller must also indicate the price per unit of measurement, such as per kilogram, litre, metre, or square metre. For goods sold loose, this information should be displayed near the product itself.
However, displaying the price per unit of measurement is not required for certain food products. This includes food products typically sold by the piece, as well as pre-packaged goods that spoil quickly and for which a discount is offered.
