Late Delivery of a Car
If you order a car from a dealership and pay a deposit, the seller must provide you with a purchase order that includes the delivery date.
Was your car delivered after the agreed deadline? Or, if you hadn't agreed on a deadline, after the statutory maximum 30-day deadline? Then you may claim compensation. However, you must prove that you suffered damages due to the late delivery.
If the delivery time is crucial to you, it must be clearly stated in the “Specific Essential Characteristics” section of the order form. If the car was delivered after the agreed deadline, you have the right to cancel the contract at no cost.
