Invoice for a Purchase of Which You are Unaware (Phantom Invoice)
If you have any questions about your invoice, it is best to contact the business directly. The business is legally obliged to provide you with all supporting documents and necessary information to dispute the debt. Do not pay anything until you are certain that you have actually entered into an agreement with the business.
If you never entered into an agreement with the business, it may be a mistake or you could be a victim of unfair commercial practices (e.g., forced purchases, subscription traps, etc.). It could also be a scam , where someone sends random invoices on behalf of a company in an attempt to collect money fraudulently. Forward the suspicious message to suspect@safeonweb.be to help protect other internet users.
If you have already made a payment and money has been stolen from your bank account, go to your local police station to file a report. We recommend that you provide the police report number to your bank and, if applicable, your insurance company.
